National HIV Testing Week

National HIV Testing Week is 10th-16th February and we're calling on people across the country to test.

Southwark has high numbers of people who are diagnosed late with HIV. Public health has identified that many of those individuals are likely to be older black people who may not seem themselves at risk of HIV.

We want to work with you to encourage people to test for HIV so they can quickly receive treatment and live a healthy normal life.

Testing is free and confidential. It’s also the only way to know if people have HIV and worth doing because people can live with HIV for a long time without any symptoms.

During National HIV Testing Week, people can order a free self-test, to get a result in just 15 minutes, or a postal test where you take a sample yourself and send it off to a lab who will then contact them with their result.
