Jessica Alfert is a management consultant based in South London, having moved from the Dorset countryside a few years ago in search of a more diverse and vibrant environment. Jessica is passionate about staying active, whether it’s through running, Pilates, or going to the gym. Jessica is also a keen traveller and loves nothing more than exploring new cultures and trying new foods. Professional, Jessica is a consultant specialising in change management, where she focuses on helping organisations manage the eople side of change—whether it’s technology, process, or people change across any landscape.
Jessica has extensive experience working with stakeholders to deliver key objectives, especially when it comes to engaging and supporting employees through change. Creativity and innovation are key to her approach, and she has developed effective strategies for improving engagement and adoption. Outside of work, Jessica has been actively involved in mentoring through charities like Urban Synergy and Routes Mentoring, and is always looking for ways to bring those skills into her professional life. As a member of her company’s DEI committee, she is deeply passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is looking forward to applying this experience in new areas.
Becoming a trustee at SBSU appealed to Jessica because it’s one of the most diverse universities, which aligns perfectly with her commitment to DEI. She sees this as an opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond her day-to-day work, and believes education is a powerful avenue for change. Being a trustee gives Jessica a chance to build leadership skills, collaborate with others, and continue growing both personally and professionally.
